Hemsford Lake
Hemsford Lake around 1999
In the field adjacent to Hemsford House and near to Buckyette is home to a large man made lake. This lake was dug out and formed in the 1980's as a trout pond for guests to the former holiday cottages to use for fishing. The lake covers around half and acre and having been well established is now home to a multitude of british indigenous species. The lake is spring fed and the levels rise and fall during the seasons and in periods of wet weather.
